KAMALA
Kamala Beach has got all the features you could ask of a tropical beach, crystal clear water of the Andaman Sea and fine white sand dunes. Despite rapid development of Kamala Village over the last few years, the beach remains unchanged. The beach is beautifully surrounded by lush forest hills and is about 2 km long. It is definitely one of Phuket Island ′s most beautiful beaches without being overcrowded. It is a perfect place to completely relax and there are plenty of beautiful spots to watch the sun go down.
Kamala Village was once a fishing village. It is fast changing from a quiet village to a minor resort area, but still with more community charm than commercialism. It has got supermarket, police station and post office. There are some hotels and small guesthouses along the main beach road. Many restaurants have opened here recently, often in private homes. So the atmosphere of the small beach road, just 200 metres long, is a blend of village and resort. The prices are distinctly more village.

The Kamala area is located on the west coast of Phuket Island, just half an hour drive from Phuket International Airport. Even if the Phuket Island has a lot to offer, it is small enough to make everything accessible by car.
As you can see on the map below Kamala Hieghts is located not far from Phuket Fantasy (Fantasea theme park) that is a famous atraction on the island.
AROUND KAMALA
At a short distance from Kamala, which is a quiet mainly residential village by the sea, you find international hospitals, big shopping centers, international schools and all other modern infra-structure you might need during a shorter or longer stay. It takes 30 to 45 minutes, depending of the traffic, to get to the international airport by car.
We have our own minibus with driver (for fourteen passengers) that can pick you up and drop you of at the airport. He can also drive you to the beach, supermarket etc.
If you want you can rent motorbikes and cars from us that are delivered at Kamala Heights. With motorbike it takes you less than 5 minutes to go down to the beach. Within Kamala village you can take your motorbike since the traffic isn’t too bad. However, if you go on the bigger roads outside the village we recommend you to go by car.
